Here, our knowledgeable and certified guides will lead you on a thrilling trek through towering rock formations, hidden caves, and craggy crevices formed by nature's mighty forces. Then, climb aboard our top-notch kayaks for a scenic 4-mile (round-trip) paddle to the breathtaking Shoshone Falls, nicknamed the "Niagara of the West." What to Expect:

  • RESERVATIONS REQUIRED

  • Weight Limit - Solo kayak max. weight is 250lbs. Tandem (double) kayak combined max. weight is 480lbs.

  • The tour is only available for a few months out of the year. This is due to high water levels and the inability to safely access Shoshone Falls. Typically the portage is accessible by July and remains open through August. However, the river may lower earlier, allowing tours to start in May or June. Please call for current and forecasted river levels.

  • Tour will last between 2 1/2 - 3 hours from start to finish.

  • Guests will check in at our kiosk in the North West corner of the park just on the other side of the large pavilion.

  • Our team will walk you over to the boat launch area where you will board our comfortable 24 ft pontoon boat and cruise up-river 2 miles to Pillar Falls.

  • Once you depart the vessel there is a MINIMUM 400 YARDS of hiking on uneven terrain to make it across Pillar Falls.

  • Upon reaching the other side of Pillar Falls you will enjoy a four mile paddle (round trip) to Shoshone Falls.

  • Water will be available throughout your experience, but you are welcome to bring any of your own snacks and beverages (no glass bottles or containers please).

  • Max of 5 people per guide (10 people per tour).

  • All guides and boat captains are certified and well trained to handle emergency situations.

  • Small children and those whom may not be in good physical condition are not recommended for this tour.

  • Please wear water shoes or tennis shoes. FLIP FLOPS and BARE FEET are not recommended.
